The Ridge Condominiums is located in the heart of the growing community of Devon, Alberta. It offers quality and value with a wide range of social, entertainment and recreational activities nearby. A park-like setting on a quiet street while being within walking distance of shopping, dining, and service amenities in downtown Devon are a few of the perks that accompany The Ridge. Building features include: secure underground parking, high quality finishes, stainless steel appliances, elevator access, and much more. At The Ridge, we take regulatory code and go far beyond it. From fire protection, to acoustical systems, to building envelope, The Ridge is built better because that's what you deserve.
With a variety of unit plans available, these condominiums are ideal for everybody from the young renter who has decided to pay down their first mortgage to empty-nesters who will enjoy getting away from the hassle of shoveling snow and mowing the lawn and spending more time on the Devon Golf Course. Snowbirds love being able to leave their car in the heated underground parkade and take off for their paradise vacation. Seniors enjoy the spacious units and the proximity to coffee shops and walking distance to grocery stores.
With easy access to Highway 60, Leduc, Nisku, Acheson, the International Airport and the City of Edmonton you can live in a setting that provides a high quality of life while having access to regional amenities.
Owning a Condominium provides you with the comfort of new house with the added benefits of more affordability, heightened security, nearby amenities and far less maintenance compared to owning a single family home. The convenience of not having to shovel snow and mow the lawn gives condo owners the increased freedom to travel and enjoy life.

The Ridge Condominiums is a great opportunity to do so.
Here are 4 things you can do now to grow your down payment to buy your first home:
1. Maximize your RRSP contributions
First time home buyers can withdraw up to $25,000 from their RRSP tax free! Maximize this withdrawal by contributing to your RRSP by the March 1st deadline. Why? If you contribute to your RRSP, you could potentially receive a higher tax refund come April 1st. That extra bit of refund can be used towards your down payment.
2. Consider an RRSP Loan
An RRSP loan is another option to increase your RRSP contribution and increase your potential tax refund. First, check with your mortgage broker to see if you qualify for an RRSP loan and a mortgage.
3. Sell that extra stuff
Often people have way more stuff than they need, which also makes it harder to move. We have seen many first time home buyers that had all the toys, including: extra vehicles, quads, snowmobiles, trailers, etc. By selling a few items they were able to have the down payment needed to purchase their first home and build their own equity!
4. Consider a borrowed down payment
A mortgage broker will look at the options regarding borrowing the funds needed for the down payment and will help you with the repayment plan.
